but italy is having 4 world cup, german only 3, also italy is playing in 6 finals only one less than german and finally, italy has defeated german 3 times in world cup matches(2 SF and 1 final), german never and for all german players can we italians match over WC history. But german has always been good because team not single players, strict diciplin. england has not being so good always but we in italy have so big respect for england for their football history is longer than other country,

Germany had the best players: Rumminigge, Breitner, Beckenbauer, Litbarski, Fischer, Hrubisch, Muller, Klinsmann, Hoeness, Matthias, Voller, Schweinsteiger, Berthold etc etc. That’s why neither the English nor the Italians have appeared in as many international finals. Italy were better in 1982 and got a little lucky in 1978, but the rest of the time Germany had the best teams. England? Not even close.

lets be honest, for shear entertainment ,teams with great players in,and too tight shiny kits, this tournament beats them all.Even the music was better…..

powerful italy at best, only team to make them brazilians go down that year, iam proudest of all to be italian, but lets be honest here the English invented the game and for that them must be as most important on world, in truth they showed the world how they should be playing game, Charlton, Moore, Hirst, Banks, Hoddle, Keegan, Gascoin, Francis, matthews, finney, rooney on goes the list

Besides being the greatest champion on tournament history, the Brazilian team is the only one wich conquered titles in other continents: Europe (Sweden, 1958) North America (U.S. 1994) and Asia (Korea / Japan, 2002). This out the titles won in Latin America: Chile and Mexico (1962 and 1970).

After this cup most of our players moved to Italy in order to teach how to play football game. And in 2002 we were champions for the fifth time! We need not discuss anything. There is a dictation that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! LOL!!!

  • berfariabrazil

@guenter200 Italy has always been a good customer to beat, both in football and the volleyball. What occurred in 1982 was an exception. 12 years before we became trichampion on top of them, and 12 years later world champions for the forth time, on top of them too. Kind regular customer…

  • guenter200

so f*ck off you revisionists!! you can’t change history and that is extremely good!!!!!!!!!

  • guenter200

i’m so glad the f*cking brasilians lost!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • berfariabrazil

Italy was not eliminated in the group stage of that cup thanks a refereeing mistake. The referee annuled a legitimate goal of Cameroon claiming offside. And Italy became world champion … I don’t understand why FIFA doesn’t accept the technology as an aid for refereeing until today; since the doubt can be undone at the same moment.

Imaginem só esse time de 1982 com Romário no lugar de Serginho e Márcio Santos (eleito o melhor zagueiro de 94) no lugar desse Luizinho fraquinho….

yes Nano, I know well in Brasil there was a great Italy migration,…I knowed a german-brazilian girl here from Porto alegre and she told me in Porto alegre is full of northern italians (lombards, venetians etc.) and germans ,….Dunga played a lot of years in Italy so he learnt a lot “tactically” I think,…I mean Brasil 1982 was great in midfield but not defensively, now Brasil is too good defensevely and w a great goalkeeper (our (of Inter) Julio Cesar

  • nanobionics2
