Originalbirdart.com was created and is managed by John Hazelton who is a graduate of the computer industry having worked for IBM and Sperry Computer Systems for over 20 years. John and his wife began to collect bird and wildlife art 12 years ago, so Originalbirdart was launched very naturally because of its creator’s personal appreciation of this extraordinary art. Among all the works of art available, you will find bird paintings, bird art, wildlife art, animals and animal art, landscapes and landscape art, seascapes and seascape artwork, wildlife sculptures and carvings (wood carvings, or bronzes, pewter, fiberglass), original bird and wildlife paintings, still life artwork, The demographics of the artists exhibiting their art on Originalbirdart.com are a total of 59. They range from many parts of the USA as well as from the UK, Spain, Italy, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Mexico and the Netherlands. Originalbirdart.com (Mill House Gallery) was launched in March 1998 to help bird and wildlife artists market their work on the Internet. Since the internet is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it allows for a larger audience of fans and collectors to become acquainted with and to conveniently purchase the artists’ work (unlike localized art galleries and shows). Originalbirdart.com does not charge the artists for setting up their work, only a small commission which is about half what a typical gallery charges. A work’s price is set by the artist, and is the same elsewhere. In shows or galleries, however, when a sale is made on Originalbirdart, the artist will receive a larger and much deserved share of that sale for his or her efforts. Originalbirdart.com brings together available artwork from artists from Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Idaho, Canada, and recently, worldwide. Originalbirdart.com’s focus area for talented and accomplished artists was originally the Midwest, but now, there is no restriction. The artist’s actual artwork may be in their homes and studios, or on displays in galleries and shows. Originally, Originalbirdart.com began operations in Wisconsin in the Town of Ottawa’s only millhouse which was built in the mid-1800’s on the bank of a small stream called Scuppernong. In 2007, Originalbirdart.com relocated along-side the “world famous” White River in Norfolk, Arkansas. In addition, in regards to the Wildlife Gallery itself, it is considered small in comparison to the Bird Art Gallery. In order to exhibit any of their work in the Wildlife Gallery, the artists must first have work on exhibit in the Bird Art Gallery. Also, please take a minute to read some of the Testimonial provided by many of the very satisfied collectors who support Originalbirdart.com, the artwork available and the services provided. John Hazelton and the artists hope everyone enjoys the paintings and works of art exhibited in Originalbirdart.com. Hopefully you will feel comfortable investing in original art through this medium as well. John Hazelton and the artists are determined to make this “virtual gallery” a success and are certain that you will be completely satisfied with your selection of original paintings and works of art.
The enchanting Italian island of Sardina is an idyllic destination to enjoy a taste of authentic Italy. Camping holidays are a popular way to explore the island – especially amongst families – and the well-equipped and conveniently located campsites on Sardinia make them an ideal option. As the second largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily, Sardinia has a lot to offer both culturally and geographically. The wonderful beaches that make up its coastline are a major draw for tourists from all over the world, and the picturesque mountains of the interior are dotted with rural farms and ancient towns just waiting to be discovered. The island is very easy to get around and, with some of the most picturesque scenery in Italy, a camping holiday will allow you the freedom to explore the many delights of Sardinia at your own pace. Cuisine Food plays an important part in Italian culture and in Sardinia the diverse influences of nearby Spain and Corsica lean towards a distinctly Catalan flavour. Seafood is of course a staple and is served up in a delicious variety of ways. Fresh herbs also play an important part, as do the locally grown vegetables and wild game sourced from the mountainous interior. Every region has its own local market, and it is a wonderful experience to rise early from your campsite and join the locals as they stock up on their weekly groceries. You can purchase meats, cheese and bread of every variety – perfect for a picnic or with a glass of wine back at your campsite. Italy is well-known for working farms which open their doors to paying guests and visitors. In the countryside of Sardinia you can find many of these wonderfully hospitable places, and you will treated a spectacular feast using only fresh meat and produce from the farm. Some of the delicacies you may try include Pane Carasatu – paper thin bread baked with olive oil and rosemary; Porcheddu – local suckling pig roasted with garlic and herbs; or potatoes with Sardo ham and specialty pecorino cheese. Of course the local wines make a wonderful complement to the meal. But be warned – the Sardinians love to feed their guests and you will leave with your stomach groaning! Beaches The warm wash of the Mediterranean encloses the coast of Sardinia in a gentle waveless embrace. Shallow waters and ideal year-round swimming conditions make the island one of the most family-friendly holiday destinations in Italy. Camping near the beach provides the perfect blend of family entertainment and outdoor adventure. A vibrant and abundant marine life attracts keen divers and snorkelers and there are literally hundreds of miles of deserted beaches to explore. The rocky coastline is punctuated with many caves and grottoes containing fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, and you can take a guided tour through some of the larger ones for an eerie underground adventure. Sailing also plays a large part in a holiday to Sardinia – it is a magical experience to sail the calm waters of the Mediterranean between Sardinia and Corsica. You can stop in sheltered anchorages and swim right in to the caves at the foot of sheer cliffs. Rural Sardinia According to Sardinian legend, to create the island, God took a little of every perfect landscape on Earth and spread it across the surface. It’s an easy legend to believe as you drive down virtually deserted country roads, through mountainous countryside which seems to stretch further than the horizon, and past plateaus of magnificent oak forests. The patchwork of the countryside is dotted with vineyards and wild Myrtle bushes and there are many Roman ruins and prehistoric fortresses to visit along the way. Get back to nature on a walk or horse ride along the network of hiking trails throughout Sardinia, and encounter some of the island’s wildlife such as Sardinian deer, wildcats, wild pigs, falcons and kites. For a true taste of Italy, camping in Sardinia will show you beautiful landscapes, delicious cuisine and the best beaches – but the true gift you will enjoy on your holiday is the wonderfully warm hospitality of the Sardinian people. Considering a move to Italy? Great choice as it is such a beautiful country full of many wonderful things to see and to do! One thing you may be wondering about early on though is what kind of property will be available to you. Let’s have a look at how to go about finding your dream house. There is a great range of properties available for purchase in Italy. You can find wonderful places available in some of the top cities within all of Europe – Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, Naples, Verona and many others besides. Or for that matter, you may prefer to live in an area that is still to be discovered by tourists and is still off the beaten track, so to speak. Often it is out of the main cities and off the beaten track that you can find those properties that need some restoration work if not a complete over-haul. With regards to location, again there is quite a choice. Most tourists think of Italy for its fantastic art, history and culture so of course you can choose city life and get a sense of this every day. On the other hand you may prefer life near the ocean. After all, Italy is surrounded on almost all sides by the Ligurian Sea, the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Adriatic Sea, and the Lonian Sea. For a different lifestyle there are mountainous regions such as the mountains of Piemonte, that are incredibly attractive and offer skiing for many months a year. There are spa areas too or natural park area for the quieter areas and where the wildlife is unparalleled. And we have not even mentioned the lakes there such as Lake Garda which is Italy’s largest lake and is located between Venice and Milan. These area just some of the cities, locations and terrain available for you to live if you choose to move to Italy, but what about the properties available? Well, as mentioned there is a very broad range of houses and places to stay. Generally the rule is that the better known cities are going to be more expensive. Rome, Milan Florence and such like are going to be costly, particularly if you wish to move into the city itself. Whereas, in a variety of other places in Italy they are considered to be more in the line of up and coming and emerging markets, which thus are considerably cheaper and probably a much better option if you are interested in investment to make profit. Regions that are considered the cheaper options include Sardinia, Abruzzo, Puglia, Molise and Calabria. There are of course other considerations to be made. What about travel? Not just within Italy itself but back to your homeland, for example. Where is the nearest airport and can it be reached fairly easily? For that matter, do you intend to travel often or remain in Italy for much of the time? Italy itself is well becoming much better served with public transport due to government investment but its still not as advanced as many other European countries. There are many other considerations to be made but most of them are of a personal nature. If you want to move to Italy do your homework diligently and you will be thankful for it when the time comes to relocating.
